Our Mission
The Nevada/Vernon County Chamber of Commerce is an action oriented organization. We exist to serve our local businesses, community organizations, residents, and visitors with information and services aimed at enhancing the quality of life in our town.
Labels & Values Notes for the Drop Down box in the Membership Directory.

Labels & Values as of 7/9/21* - This is for the drop down search box
1. There are two parts (A) the Industry field in the database and (2) the choices on the Membership Directory page's search box.
A. The search box contains labels and values.
The labels are what the user reads
Example: Employment & Training
The values are what the filter searches for in the collection
(database)
Example: Employment
B. The value in the industry field must match the value in the
value in the drop down choices.
Example: Employment (not Employment & Training)
C. PLUS, EVERY Industry record entry must end in the word alpha (The A-Z Sort searches for the word "alpha" and puts all matching records in alphabetic order)
Example: Employment alpha
D. The label "A-Z Sort" has a value of "alpha"
2. For the live records to be visible to the user, be sure to PUBLISH the website after making changes.

Membership Application Notes
When a member application is moved or copied to the Business Listings database, you MUST check the Industry chosen and make sure it matches an actual value from the list at the left (the word that appears after the comma for each label,value). It is up to YOU to make sure the industry makes sense for the business. Be very careful about entering the information as typos and case matter.

If a new industry is needed, contact Cyndia!
The industry must be added to the choices in the drop down on the Membership Directory page, and the value and industry must be set and put in alphabetical order. The new label,value for the new industry also needs to be added to the list on the left.
